No more grinding

Stopped the grinding for some time. This means: no more 9 or 10 tabeling 200 and 400 NL. For a few days now, and at least one more week I am really really focussing on improving my game. This means I will only play 6 tables 200nl or 400nl. I keep reviewing each and every session. I have set goals for what my stats should look like and aim to reach that every session.

I am not going to bother you with what these should look like, but its going to be a bit more agro. Some stats are fine, others should go up or down. I am using the HM article about plugging leaks and the content of some DC videos.

Talking about videos, the guest series of Leon van der Poel on Nederpoker is really really worth the effort of viewing. Just grab a one month gold membership. Its worth it.

Besides that I am playing some Omaha hi/lo at the lower limits, up to 200nl. Lol at the level of play. Its easy money, honestly. However, the action is quite limited.

On and on

Not really in the mood for making big updates. I keep getting coolered and beat up and down.

wsup

For starters, there will probably be no WSOP for me this year. Played a couple of freerolls and qualifiers, but no success. Played the 200 packages gtd on Stars. There were about 8K entrants and eventually 226 WSOP packages. I got pretty deep when my AK ran into AA and I was out. What was a lot more frustrating is the connection issues with Stars. This resulted in me playing only about 15 hands in the first hour or so, and completely depleting my time bank. Just hate it when that happens, especially when just having paid $370 to enter the tournament.

As for this month I am still down at 200nl. Which scks big time. Coolerville and bad beat station is still getting way to much traffic. However, 400nl is going fine, so not to worry to much.

I noticed the HoldemManager people are writing articles on generated data. This could be a gold mine. What they did in their first article is connecting the winrate to various stats. E.g. if your vpip is between x and y, then the average winrate of the group with a vpip between x and y = z. Well, for those who still do not have HM get it. For those who do not want to get it... I uploaded the article. As for now, I do not see any reason to transfer to PokerTracker 3.

Hunt for the WSOP

This week will probably be the last chance to really qualify for the WSOP. I gave the Pokerstars steps a short shot, but that didnt work out. So on Sunday there will be a few big qualifying events on Stars, Full Tilt and iPoker. I will play Full tilt and Stars. Furthermore there is a freeroll tomorrow at Pacific Poker.

As for cash games 200nl is still going v. bad. But 400nl is ok. Allover still a bit up for the month June.

Recently two of my articles have been published at Pokernews. One was about donkbetting and the other about blockbetting.

For those that dont speak/ read Dutch there is news. Recently Pokernews.eu had been founded. All strategy articles written on the .nl will be translated for the European site.

Back again

Just back from a weekend in Stockholm. Was really good, since the weather was great (25+ degrees), food was great and the people very kind. Downside is...it is expensive, but still I liked it a lot. Besides that it seems the average Stockholmer is driving a big car (are they for free). An abundance of Corvettes and Porches.

Ok thats Stockholm. Still running quite bad as for Poker. However, I know I play a winning game and it is mainly a bad run. Mainly, because there are still some leaks. Plusside is that I don't tilt. I never ever just tilt away two or three buyins. Obviously it also depends on how one defines tilt.

For June still a goal is to qualify for WSOP. Besides that I will give 600nl another shot or two. I will keep you posted on progress!
