In the first few months 2008 was going to be very promissing with nice winnings. However, the second part of the year was not nearly as good with December looking to be the first loosing month in almost 1,5 years. However, yesterday I finished 3rd in a 10k gtd tournament and still hope to rake in a small profit for the month. Still, December is a bad month with almost 30 buyins onder EV (not counting the 20 times KK lost vs AA :)).
I got my bonus at Stars and started playing at Eurolinx again. I hope 2009 will be somewhat better pokerwise, without making any predictions. I hope to play the WSOP in the summer. Not entirely sure about that. First, I have to move to my new appartment at the end of January.

good 2009 for you. One question I am thinking a lot about: Have games finally really become harder? I feel I am a better player than in early 2008 and yet it seems to be quite a bit harder to beat NL200 consistently and at 3 to 4 PTBB for quite a long time - with leaks I know about now, even!
I am running at 1,2 ptBB over 90k in the 2nd half of 2008 which was very disappointing.
Not that I have enough hands this year to rule out a downswing, but HM ev-calculation does not imply it. There are other, many more variance factors, of course, so I cant tell for sure.
Whats your opinion?
Why have games become tougher? (training sites/videos? Lack of fresh fish?)
