Update

First of all, sorry for not posting in quite some time. You were getting spoiled with multiple updates every week. But the last two weeks were kind of uneventfull and disappointing. I played very little poker the last week. Just getting my game on the rails again. Besides that, the weather was to good to stay inside. Result is I got sunburned and will stay in as long as that shiny thing in the sky is radiating to much heat :)

So what happened? As reported earlier, April was the month of big variance and shots. All in all I netted a tiny little profit. I took some shots at 1K NL, that did not work out all to well. But hey, not to disappointed about that, since my play was ok. I played about 60K hands, mostly on Pokerstars.

Not sure why the big swings came into play, where I have been avoiding the big slumps downhill for the last year or so. Probably variance, although I know some hands I played were not optimal. What am I going to do about it...

I am probably going to play fewer tables. 6 or so as a maximum. Just for a week or two, and see if my winrate improves.

I am also looking to get a coaching session. Not sure where yet. I know Nederpoker is coming up with coaching and Pokerzion (loosefer) is offering coaching. The latter I find really good. I saw some videos of his and was impressed by the coaching style.

In the meantime I have written two articles for Pokernews. First one is about full ring NL and the second one about 7 Card Stud.

Coaching
I do a bit of coaching myself. I now coach two players in different formats/ settings. Goal is to climb up from 20/25NL to 100 or 200NL, which should be feasible. It continues to be a good thing to read articles more than once. To both i suggested articles written for pokernews on 6max, about position and out of position play. This is probably the basis once you have mastered the game rules. It definitely is not hard to be a winning player at the lower limits. It just takes some time, effort and purseverance.
